North Metro Community Home & Garden Show
The North Metro Home & Garden Show held its final event on January 27, 2018.
We wish to thank the many sponsors, exhibitors, city staff, and members of our
communities for their support and attendance over the past twenty years.
Thanks to everyone who attended and participated in the 20th Annual North Metro Community Home and Garden Show on Saturday, January 27. It was the place to be for all your home improvement, remodeling and landscaping needs! This annual event is sponsored by the Cities of Blaine, Columbia Heights, Fridley, and Mounds View. All of the sponsoring cities had staff on hand to answer questions about housing, development and city planning. In addition to our great exhibitors, we had some great seminars, door prizes and a sponsor treasure hunt, and a kids activity center with face painter and balloon artist – and it was all FREE!
We’re pleased to announce that the Kris Lindahl Team of RE/MAX Results returned as the Show Sponsor for 2018! Kris was our keynote seminar speaker with the topic The Reality of Real Estate 2018 – Using Technology to Buy or Sell Your Home.
Congratulations to Dale Marcotte and his daughter, Tracy Shaffer, from Columbia Heights! They were the winners of our Ugliest Room Contest!
We sponsored our first Ugliest Room Contest in 2017, and it was a lot of fun for those who registered as well as those who cast their votes for the Ugliest Room in the North Metro. CTV North Suburbs updated its segment about the North Metro Home & Garden show on “North Suburban Beat” that ran during the weeks preceding the Show. (Huge thanks to North Suburban Beat producers Shannon Hunter and Maureen Anderson, CTV North Suburbs. Thanks also go to Vanessa Van Alstine, Cable Television Coordinator, City of Mounds View, and Fridley Cable TV for helping to publicize our Show.)
